New Challenge over at Color It Create It Show It Off--ATG--Sherri Baldy! 2 Winners!!

For many many years, I sewed for my family and saved money but, more importantly, had fun making creations -fabric art!
This cutie, Img 831 from Sherri Baldy, is a favorite of mine for those reasons ( I nicknamed her Button Gal).  As a member of my Fav Design Team at Color It Create It Show It Off, we are so lucky to get to use these unique images!
We are announcing the CICISIO Challenge today and you can join in this ATG event here.  We can't wait to see your creations and have a chance to WIN some prizes!
To keep with the Sewing "theme" of the image, I used stitches "rub-ons" around the edges of the image and the fun flap.  After coloring her with copics, I attached 2 loops of a satin measuring tape ribbon and added small shaped buttons to bring out the pretty lavenders on the card.  The sentiment is from KKS and suits the card perfectly!  On the inside liner,I repeated the black embossed dotted paper and chose another sentiment from KKS.  LOL I've got JUST the friend to send this to!

Star Stampz sponsors us at Crafting When We Can! Come on Over!

This week we were given a challenge on the Crafting While We Can DT team of working with 3 "colors":  Black, White, and 1 Color---I chose YELLOW.  You can figure out why I picked yellow--It's the FIREFLIES <<grins>>, and that's the name of this image by Star Stampz.  She's always been a great Sponsor for us-neat images, so check out her Etsy site.
Instead of just leaving the background white, I chose several shades of grays and black to create the night sky, her dress, the ground and grass, and her hair.  Then to make the Fireflies stand out more, I used Copic FYG1 and they just glow!  I LOVE macro dot papers so found one that was appropriate to use and mounted that to a cheery textured yellow/white polkadot paper.  I used a sentiment from KKS stamped with white ink on black cardstock and topped off with yellow epoxy dots.  The black and white narrow checked ribbon is a pretty accent, don't you think?  On the inside I used the yellow dotted paper to brighten it and a rubber stamp from my stash with "Best Wishes".  We would love to have you join us over at Crafting When We Can-great opportunity to get a prize!  We'll be looking for you!

Come and Get It Challenge is ATG ! Our sponsor is Knitty Kitty-how exciting!

This week at Come and Get It Challenge, we are showing off our Embossing Talents!  Of course, it's an Always Anything Goes Challenge so there's no reason you can't just join in the fun!  Our Sponsor is Knitty Kitty and this image is called Deep Sea Diver.  It is such a FUN image with so many options!  I have been saving this fantastic green/blue swirl paper that reminds me of the papers you used to make with the oil floating on top of water.  Perfect for sea water?  After coloring up the diver with Copics, it was on to Embossing.  I'm a Frantage nut so that was my solution.  I think you can
see it along "the sea floor" around his Flippers.  I used Aged Teal Frantage, a mixture of golds and teal embossing enamel.  I continued it up into the water area and mixed it among the seaweed, fish and bubbles.  I put a mask over the diving helmet the kitty's using and eventually coated it with Glossy Accents.  I used a small bubble die cut  next to the triple matted image and then used some gifted branchies in browns, spring green and mint green in a cluster, with a string bow and accented with a pewter sea shell.  On the inside, I used the reverse of the green water paper which was anchors.  The sentiment stamp is from KKS and a great sentiment to give a guy--hummm maybe at Father's Day!
So I hope we will see you at our Challenge so that you can inspire us with your creations!

It's "Sunny Days" at All Dressed Up Challenge! Come out and play!

Welcome back to a brand new challenge.
As always the theme for our Blog Challenge is -
Anything Goes
but you must use a All Dressed Up Image.
Not got any? There are some gorgeous freebies -} here.
But please respect the rules!
Or you can buy any of Wendy's fab images from the All Dressed Up store -} here.
Now what could be easier than that?
For this Challenge, I'm using the image "I Love Sunny Days"--you can't help but smile when you look at this cutie!  I love the color combo of oranges and moss greens so, after coloring her so, I added some clouds and grass with some dots for flowers and had a happy little scene created.  I die cut a row of flowers in the moss green and then made a double row out of it, added some flower buttons .  The inside has a great matted stamped sentiment from KKS.

We will randomly pick a winner to receive 3 images of your choice, and our DT will chose their top 3 creations.
We also have a guest DT spot, so if you are the winner, you'll be invited to share a creation as part of our DT for the following month.

We do hope you will find the time to play along - You have until the evening of the 14th to enter your creation--We hope to see you there!

REMINDER of our Challenge over at Create It Color It Show It Off!

Over at Color It Create It Show It Off, we still have a Challenge going on for YOU to enter!  Such great Prizes are offered!  One of the few Challenges around that still give our images to the winners.
This digital image is from Sherri Baldy Stamps and is Img 0118- isn't she just too cute!!??  I particularly love the Mushroom in the flower cluster on her hat!  She's colored in copics and seemed to ooze "Country".  So, I used gingham, distressed khaki dots, and a strip of burlap along with a orange dotted mat to make her right at home.  I think the special yellow button is a great accent.  On the card inside, I repeated the khaki dots and used sentiments both outside and inside from KKS.
We wanted to let you know that it's not too late to join our challenge.  We are always inspired seeing other peoples' creations and can't wait to see YOURS!

Oddball Art Co. is Sponsoring us at Crafting When We Can- BRIGHT & COLORFUL is the Theme

What a great theme we have for this next challenge at Crafting When We Can--BRIGHT & COLORFUL!  Perfect for some Summertime fun and sponsored by Oddball Art Co.   As they say on their site:  Perfect Combo of Sweet & Sour Glittering Up the Grunge-what fun!
This image is called Sallie & Charlie and was such Fun to color up with my copics.  Lots of details but easy to get to all the layers.  Sorry for the washed out effect in the corner-didn't realize that I had the Ott light that close!  I laid out a layer at the bottom of the image of sand colored Flower Soft-so glad I had that close at hand!  Mounted that on top of some green plaid paper after gluing some white bubble die cuts  along the edge.  I really liked the fresh summer printed design paper for that "crisp" look in the background.  The 3 buttons I found were lime green, hot pink, and aqua blue-added some aqua/white baker's Twine in bows and think it's just Sassy!  It could be a card for just about anything-I left the inside of the card pretty basic with a stamped sentiment.  We hope you will join us over at the CWWC Challenge and when you go visit the Oddball Site, we know you will have fun walking through the Store!

New Release Time at ALL DRESSED UP ! Wonderful Images

It is again time to see what new beauties Wendy at All Dressed Up has created for us, and you won't be disappointed.  These images are getting us ready for Summery days and Holidays!
They are now available in the Etsy Store   here

Where you'll find all of the New Releases.

The one I got to use is called Sea View and is so exquisite!  It reminds me of Villa over in Europe with the quaint village homes on the Seaside.  I even colored in the moss along the stones.  I added a vintage Postcard paper after matting the image on a buttercream yellow crackled paper and adding black "photo" corners.  Yep, I think of this as being in a vacation photo album of all the adventurous travels.  On the inside, using the post card paper again, I also added a great sentiment from KKS- they have so many appropriate ones!
And don't forget we have two challenges running right now :
ending on the eve of the 14th
ending on the last day on the month.
Visit us again on the 15th for the new Challenge launch and don't forget - if you want to see some more fabulous makes from our Super-talented Design Team using these new releases, Part 2 will be right there on the 22nd.

pPinky is Sponsoring us over at Come and Get It Challenges! Always ATG!

What an adorable image I'm using this week at Come And Get It Challenge!  She's called Candy Circus Lily by pPinky Doll  Art and the theme this week is "Happy Birthday" .  These images are so easy to color-much of the shading is already in the image!
She was actually (I think) sitting on this branch and I originally had the blue sky come down to her toes.  I decided to cut a curve into the bottom edge "dangling" her toes.  When I matched up the rusty red design paper to her dress, I extended it past the curve and now it makes it look like hilly ground!  Used the distressed dotty paper to match her neutral hat and pinafore.  I used a KKS sentiment stamp for a Birthday stamp both on the inside and outside.  It's such an adorable image that it doesn't need any additional embellishments!  Please come over to Come and Get It to show us your project and have a chance at some prizes!  Not very many Challenge Sites that give away prizes anymore so come check us out!
