Lacy Sunshine ATG Creative Team 2 week Challenge-"Spread Your Wings-in the Summer Sun"

We've started something new at Lacy Sunshine, a
2-week Creative Team Challenge for all of the fans of Lacy Sunshine images!
We are so excited to strut our "stuff" and especially, to see all the wonderful projects that you enter in the Challenge--It's Anything Goes and we know that you ALL love those!!   The image that I chose to illustrate the monthly theme of "Spread Your Wings-in the Summer Sun" is Desiree Dragonfly Buggmees and she can be found here.  I just adore the intricate details and the adorable faces that Heather creates for her Lacy Sunshine Store!
I love layers so I picked up colors from the Copic colored image (see recipe card) and used several mats of design paper.  I love buttons--can you tell??  The card blank is a 6x6 scalloped edged blank I got in a deal from England so I use them sparingly but Gladly give them up for Lacies!!  In the inside, against a soft purple paisley print, I placed a fancy cut flower from the Fred she Said collection I have from a past DT experience.  It has a choice of sentiment inserts so I chose a Thinking of You.
So come on, We Want To See Your Creations!  You have the next 2 weeks to enter and we wish everyone the best in the Challenge!

I'm ready for a SWIM with 2 CuteInk Digital Stamps

The temps are indicating that it's time for a SWIM around here-Such Humid days-Whew!  Well at 2 CuteInk, they have just the images to help you express the SEAson to your friends.
I'm using the image "Scuba Owl" from the
2 CuteInk Store and am using the phrase "Come and SEA me" on the front and a friendship verse on the inside.  Have some great
water paper-when used with the diamond stickles on the bubbles and on the verse, it makes you feel like the reflection of the water!  I hope you'll take a run through the store and catch some of the Father's Day images Heidi has available-Looks like a lot of fun!

Rainy Days go away! Puddle Bug wants to come out and play at 2 CuteInk!

Our theme at 2 CuteInk this week is ~Water~ so of course I thought of RAIN and one of Heidi's adorable images called Puddle Bug.  Doesn't she look so CUTE(ink) with her perky umbrella and boots?

I used some great paper from my stash that when you place it horizontally, it could be used for scenes with Pools BUT when placed vertically, what perfect paper for RAIN!  I used a scrap from a digital image from Fred she Said that was depicting a sidewalk-so so lucky to have that.  I've been really drawn to using these tear-drop crystals (from the wedding aisle in HL-by David Tutera) as rain drops-they are SO reflective!

On the inside,I used a grouping of flowers and dragonfly from Fred she Said also from my stash.  The sentiment comes from Doodle Pantry and the generalized statement could be used for many different things.  So you can see it took many different elements to pull this card together!
We've heard through a little birdie that hopefully very soon Heidi will be including a sentiment with her images, probably randomly, but how exciting!!  Then you will have a complete project with one purchase!

Be sure and show us your creations this week on our Challenge Blog!  We can't wait to see what you've done!

The Ant Family Watermelon is a picnic at 2 CuteInk!

Well...summer will soon be just around the corner and I can't help but think of a cold, juicy watermelon!  But it looks like the Ant Family from 2 CuteInk got there first~
This is my Thursday post where I get an additional chance to play with one of Heidi's great images from the 2 CuteInk store.  Using an A7 card sideways, I matted the circle cut and sentiment to *pop* it off the wonderful, 2-sided chevron paper from Adorn iT.  The inside of the card is the backside-isn't that fun?  The sentiment is from my stamped stash and could be used for many occasions.
Be sure to join in our Challenges here and you could win some great images!  I'm planning on sending this to a great friend -I bet you can find something that will make YOU smile too!

A Little Bird Told me over at Sweet Pea Stamps & One Sweet Challenge!

Norma J Burnell is a wonderful artist over at Sweet Pea Stamps~ she creates very whimsical detailed images with sweet faces that are a challenge, but a JOY to color.  This image is called A-little-bird-told-me and I just hope I did it justice!  This Get Well card was made for the 2nd part of the May Challenge. I cannot believe that we are almost at the half-way mark for 2015. Our theme this month is a perfect one for May, “Things with Wings.” We want to see your art using “anything with wings.” Your art can be anything you want, but you must follow the OSC rules and that month’s theme.  The One Sweet Challenge Blog can be found here
So that I could accent the "tendrils" that were hanging down from the image, I decided to do a fancy cut on them and use the background paper to bring them out front.  I added the blue mat, ribbon, and circular sentiment.
There are so many interesting artists to choose from at the Sweet Pea Store, both for the purists that use rubber stamps and the digitally minded.  You'll have a wonderful experience there!  Can't wait for you to join us soon~

Aurora Wings is sponsoring our Anything Goes Challenge at Craft Your Passion!

We're starting off this week with a Great Challenge (Anything Goes) at Craft Your Passion AND we're thrilled to have Aurora Wings sponsoring us!  The winner gets $10 worth of digital stamps from their store!  Well worth jumping in with your creation~
The image I'm using is called "Pearls" and I love this wild mane of hair and the beautiful face. I love the color combo of browns and pinks so found a complimentary heritage-like paper in 2 styles.  I used an olive green paper lace piece with a heavy cream lace placed on top. I used white liquid pearls to accent the earrings and ropes of pearls.  Finished off the inside with a Happy Birthday stamp on a die cut.  Oh and on the front papers, they were nice and heavy so I distressed the edges with a Tim Holtz distressing tool.  Love the vintage look...  Please come and play with us in our 2 week challenge and show us your creations!  We get such great ideas from our guests!

Lacy Sunshine is celebrating "Arabian Nights" this month-come join in the FUN!

I wanted to try something different this week with an image from Lacy Sunshine's monthly theme of "Arabian Nights", Bahie found here.  Typically, you find these images depicting veils and sheer, filmy material swirling around right?  Well, I created her with a twist, using a close up instead of the full body view that I did earlier this month AND you can see that my gold glitter was calling to me!  I think it makes her look exotic!
I used a deep patterned paper and sheer ribbon and jewels to accent her beauty.  Also used some stickles to accent her jewels and chains.  On the inside you can see a better view of the design paper with a special note stamped on the double sided paper.
Be sure to check out the wonderful site of Lacy Sunshine:  to shop in the store, to see the blog challenge she has every 2 weeks, to see what the Design Team and Creative Team has developed for the week.  We'd love to see you there and joining in the fun!

Ladybug, Ladybug Fly Away Home...to 2 CuteInk!

I'm using a new image at 2 CuteInk called Garden Bug Ladybug-Isn't she cute!  Nothing says Spring like lifting back the fall leaves and finding a swarm of red ladybugs.  Makes me always think of the saying, "ladybug, ladybug fly away home..."
I did a Fancy cut carefully around this delicate little bug that I colored with Copics and added a sticker.
You'll find many different images of all designs at 2 CuteInk- They're always guaranteed to put a smile on your face!  Be sure to join in our Challenges here and you could win some great images!  I'm planning on sending this to a great friend -I bet you can find something that will make YOU smile too!

Whooooo....Whoooooo..want to Play with us at 2 CuteInk ATG Challenge?

I Love OWLS, my daughter loves OWLS and MY mother loved OWLS...so it stands to reason that I was thrilled to use Nature Owl Doodle for our next challenge "For the Birds" at 2 CuteInk!
And I was so lucky to find an owl..ish set of design papers at my LLS when I was shopping with my enabler crafty daughter!  I KNEW that I would use them sometime so I was all set for this challenge!
The papers are by ADORNit  and they are all double sided, one with sayings on it (see the inside of the card).  The deep red patterned paper on the front is the reverse of the gray dotted paper.  I picked up the colors in Owl Doodle digital-HAD to add buttons!  I HAVE to use them whenever I can-I have too many!  The inside used one of the sayings (complimentary colors I might add ) and is the back of the chevron style paper.  I love how the images that Heidi from 2 CuteInk designs are created so that you can be as elaborate or as simple as you want them to be.  Quick to color as I did here with Copics and so quick to mail to some lucky recipient.  Come join us in our challenge and show us your creation!  We'd love to meet you!

Thank You Mom! 2 CuteInk has adorable images!

Isn't this digi called "Sunflower Girl" from 2 CuteInk adorable?  I love her simple lines and great details making the finished project so easy to do. There are many digitals found in the Etsy shop of 2 CuteInk here  We have Anything Goes Challenges every 2 weeks with great prizes.
The image was colored with copics and then, using a 4.75 x 4.75 card blank from The Paper Cut (great smooth finish by the way) I double matted it with a perfect design paper-With SUNFLOWERS!  Added a sentiment from my computer and it's all ready for either a Mother's Day card or just a Thank you for your favorite person.

Animals are making their appearence at Southern Girls Challenge-show us YOURS!

The Theme of this bi-monthly challenge at Southern Girls Challenge is Animals and we are very lucky to have as our sponsor, Oakpond Creations.  My image is just called Rooster!  I love his expression!
Just so happens my daughter has chickens that she raises AND she recently got some great news so this card was made with that in mind.  Hence the sentiment on the front "News to Crow About".  The papers used were some digital papers designed by the owner of Doodle Pantry from the set "Mini Rooster" and well as the sentiment.  I thought the star was appropriate for a new job and it leaves me a space for a personalized message for her.  I hope you will join us at the Challenge and show us you creative Animal projects!

Arabian Nights is the theme of the month at Lacy Sunshine Digital Stamp Group

As I start my first month with Lacy Sunshine Digital Stamp Group as a member of the Creative Team, I'm celebrating the Theme of the Month--Arabian Nights!  The image I'm using is
called BAHIE and isn't she pretty!  I tried to capture the movement of the sheer shirt and blouse by multiple layers of copic colors.
I'm playing with some very cool embellishments called spiral stamens that an artist sent me the link for when I saw it on HER card!  They're from Wild Orchid Crafts in the United Kingdom and their prices are so reasonable.  I Love how they look on my card, along with a handmade paper flower and die cuts from a dear friend Holley!  I also put silver metallic accents on the beading on her sheer skirt.  I hope you'll come over to the Blog site here -that will give you access to the store as well as the FB site.  Look forward to seeing you there!

Things with Wings Monthly Challenge at Sweet Pea Stamps!

This is my post for the New Challenge this Month --Things with Wings!  There are so many images at Sweet Pea Stamps that will fit this bill!  I decided to use Green Bubble Sprite and will eventually try the tutorial at the website on how to make realistic bubbles!  I like how these turned out but we have an artist that shows how to make ones that are iridescent and so beautiful-Check it out sometime!
This is kind of how this card came to be...I kept having this piece of Magic Mesh, that was given to me by a friend long ago, keep on tumbling down on my craft table where I do all my creations...Irritated I kept putting it back ..until I thought that it really looked like the shimmery sea and matched the iridescent bubbles of the Sprite. So one thing led to another and hence the card.
Be sure to check back for the next month's theme at One Sweet Challenge-Sweet Pea Stamps has so many images that will inspire you to enter your creation!  Remember: Our prizes for our challenges are a $10 coupon if the winner uses a Sweet Pea Stamp rubber stamp or digital image and a $5 coupon to the Sweet Pea Stamp store if the winner did not use a Sweet Pea Stamp.  See you there!

Scrapper's Delights is sponsoring Through the Purple Haze's Monthly Challenge!

At Through the Purple Haze this month, we are being sponsored by Scraper's Delights on our next Any Thing Goes Challenge.  I go the opportunity to do **2** images-the first one is called Cupcake Honey-I just adore her look!  Must be the glasses that interest me so much!  I double matted the Copic Colored image and wrapped the mats with a sheer yellow imprinted ribbon.  I used a bright spring flowered design paper and attached by fav embellishment-Buttons!
There's a Birthday Sentiment inside, matted and on a pretty pink paper.

*****************************
The next image is called Nerissa-Mermaid and is also by Scrapper's Delights.  I couldn't resist doing a little staging with her as she's sort-of laying down.  I had this great boulder paper just purchased so I created like a rocky knoll for her to gaze out from.  I even cut out some random rocks and put a pop dot on the back for dimension.  THEN I used these terriffic high finish sequins in aqua, green and blue from Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps so that it would be like water spray shimmering in the sun.  The neat thing I did with Nerissa was create a tail fin and side fins out of green vellum and propped them up with some Zots.
On the inside, I finished off with design paper and a sentiment and accented it with silver sequins.
Hope you like the examples of what our sponsor has waiting for you-come join in the fun month long challenge with us!
