Masculine Birthday Card Images from Doodle Pantry-Got Tractor?

I'm always looking for unique options when it comes to making a Masculine card!  Well, part of the May Release group from Doodle Pantry was "Got Tractor" and here in the rural part of Illinois-these images will be a hit!  You not only get images and sentiments but some great coordinating papers.  The background paper I used on the front has green tractors and  yellow bulldozers on a blue background-what fun!  The solid brown I used to simulate dirt-Laurie from DP always includes a group of solid papers to match her designs.  The tracks in the set I used like ribbons across the bottom-accented with mat buttons.
In the inside, I did a pop of gold solid on top of another brown/red patterned paper.  Using the png version of the tractors, I placed them on the gold mat.  Then I hand stamped the Birthday greetings. This layout could have just as easily been for a Father's Day card.
We're just about ready for the June Release and it's packed full of fun, fun images so be watching here on June 1st for the latest!  We have challenges on a regular basis so come on and enter!  You get some free Doodle Pantry images if you're a winner!

It's SQUARE CARD Challenge on Squigglefly this week! Great Graduation Card!

This stunning image by Veteran Squigglefly Artist, Lynne Stansbery is perfect for several types of cards.  It works well with the theme of this weeks' challenge- A Square Card.
When I colored this image, it made me think of life's journeys that could have all started with the first attempt of tying your shoe when you were growing up.  (Like you started out with just the basics and look at you now getting a diploma!).  I colored this quite a while back and was just waiting for the perfect card to use it on!  The set comes with a couple of sentiments so the variety is great!
We have some new artists that have joined us-James Horvath, Sandy Caldwell, Niina Niskansen just to name a few of the recent ones.  Please come to the shop and check out all the interesting digitals they are selling at reasonable prices!  We'd love to see you there~

Summer Birdies are the perfect Group from Doodle Pantry! Tweet-Tweet!

This is an exciting release for May from Doodle Pantry called "Summer Birdies" and the images and papers in this set are terrific!  I offset cut the front of the card so that it highlighted the "head Bird".  What I enjoyed the most was all the paper piecing that I did on all the birds! In 2 dimensional pictures, it's hard to see the details but, I popped out the front brim on the blue cap, the beak, the front wing, the rope and the pink starfish-I just couldn't stop myself!  This set comes with some great sentiments so I added one at the bottom!
When you open it, there are the Birdie Friends and they each have accents also that have been popped up off the papers.  I love this water like paper that comes in the set and also the front "tile" paper.  There's lot of places to add your own greeting on the inside.  For sure will put a smile on anyone's face this summer!

I'm entering this in Sentimental Sundays -Things with Wings.  Doodle Pantry is sponsoring this challenge this week.

Arrr...Lacy Sunshine plays pirate at the "SHIMMER" Southern Girls Challenge! Ahoy Maties!

I just love this Pirate image from Lacy Sunshine  for our newest challenge at SGC.  This little Pirate, while detailed, was So Much Fun to do!  Since the theme is Shimmer, I put some gold pearl stickles on the parrot and then used both pearl and glitter stickles on the waves.
I had some great pirate Map paper to use in the background and then from another paper that was mostly blacks and grays, the word Buchaneer was cut out and used for the little guy.  Inside I used some more map paper and stamped a big Happy Birthday on it.  This will make a great card to give a young boy.  There are so many great entries at Southern Girls Challenge this week--Be sure to come and join in the fun where you can use any digital image.  We have challenges every 3 weeks and our sponsors give away GREAT prizes!

Summertime thoughts in May-QKR Sponsors Seems a Little Sketchy!

While we've had some mornings recently in the 40's, I KNOW Summertime will eventually get here...and when I think of Summer I think of picnics, bugs and Watermelon.  What a perfect image QKR Stampede  has given us to use-Sharing a Slice.  The crew at Seems a Little Sketchy loves their options and you will too!  The winner of our 2 week challenge will get 5 digital images from the fun site-don't miss your chance!
I've used a background mat of mini white polkadots on black and then placed 3 panels of the traditional red gingham print.  It was a perfect time to use this ribbon out of my stash-complete with ANTS on it!

Yummy Yummy CUPCAKES at Squigglefly this week!

At Squigglefly this week, they are asking you to use the Theme "Cupcakes"..whether it is in your paper, an image of the yummy treat, or...perhaps like I decided to use it--I used floral print mini
cupcake liners!
First I started with a great image from one of the Super Talented Artists at Squigglefly called "Whatcha Growin Maddie? by Cheryl Alger.  It comes with this great sentiment that could be used many ways as well as the potted flower.  I triple folded the liner and then folded the net/stamen/pearl pick into the centers.  I then used this great vine/leaf ribbon to "attach" them to the pot.
Be sure to check out the ever expanding digital "Library" at Squigglefly to find just the right image for whatever "Life moment" you have in your life-they truly have the solution for your gifts!

Doodle Pantry and Masculine cards-Love it! VROOM, VROOM!

I have SO many places to use this great new Release set from Doodle Pantry-this one's called Motorcycle Mania!  Whether it's for a Birthday, Father's Day, Friendship-It's perfect.  The set comes with all you see here on the preview and the neat thing is that it comes with both jpegs and pngs that you can layer over and over again to get an image like I've created here.  I normally create mats, and layers and frames but I wanted to show you the effect when you digitally do this flat layer.  It makes it great when you need a card or gift in a big hurry!  The HB stamp is from my stash.  I'm telling you that the digital background papers that Leslie at Doodle Pantry has created for this set are AMAZING!  So vibrant!!
Be sure to check out all the sets and stroll through her shop-You won't be able to decide which to choose!

Kenny K Sponsors our Seems a Little Sketchy Challenge Again!!

It's that time again all around the United States when people young and old graduate from many organizations of Higher Learning.  I always need graduation cards so was very glad to get this one from our Sponsor, Kenny K Downloads.  It's a perfect image and I love the way it's designed from an upper angle!

I'm following the sketch shown here using several different grad papers from my stash.  I think the awesome holographic paper I used as a small circle really sets off the digital image.  I just love how the card went together-hope you do too!  Kenny K is offering 3 images of your choice to the winner so come on and make an entry for our 2-week challenge!

Easel Cards for the Scrapbook Place Blog Challenge

I get the biggest kick out of Easel cards-I don't know why I don't make them more often~they are so fun!  This image I am using is called "Cool Carl Pad" from Scribbles Design and they are sponsoring our challenge over at Your Scrapbook Place.  The theme of the contest is of course, easel cards.  I placed my design on a Scallop Circle Scored card blank from The Paper Cut-there are so many ways to use the card blanks that they carry in their store.  This great color is called basis Aqua. I folded the top scallop in half and mounted ole' fancy cut Carl on the bottom half.  I put Diamond Glaze on his sunglasses and the flowers.  The butterflies and leafy branches are from 2 friends on Your Scrapbook Place site.  Then for the "catch" when it gets folded, I used aqua dew drops and glued branches to 2 of them.  The sentiment is computer generated and the clouds are from a die cut that I have in my stash.
Check out the challenge-there's always neat prizes from great sponsors AND you have fun while competing!  Look forward to seeing you there.

Doodle Pantrys New May Release Sets are H-E-R-E!!

Doodle Pantry is making it's New Release Debut for May today and you are invited to check them out!  I just knew as soon as I saw this beautiful scalloped print that it had to be an AWNING over a Storefront!  The Set from Doodle pantry has many different versions of this horse with and without the pole, etc.  and the colors are so vibrant!  As well as a B&W version so that you can customize the horse. Loads of papers and Sentiments too~and offered in jpegs and pngs.  I especially like the pngs so that you can layer the digis onto the backgrounds etc.  I used pop dots to lift up the overhang and green dew drops to accent the sentiment.  Now go over to the site and see what other creations the Creative Team has made with all the release sets.  They are AWESOME!!
