More Christmas Cards to share with you~

I was determined on my Christmas card Marathon journey to take pictures to share with you.  The cards that I was working on seemed to have a mind of their own and all the papers and embellishments and sentiments seemed to call out to be a part of the card...either that, or I'm going looney doing all of these and am hearing voices!

This precious lovely I matted with an evergreen paper and put that on some luscious Deep Brown cardstock from The Paper Cut called Echo-has a gold shimmer to it also. Then used an ornament embellishment sticker from HL for the accent-very clean and simple. Inside I used an Old World paper in antiquey green. A triple matted sentiment was used inside from my dear friend Linda.

I went in a different direction with my favorite winter subject-a Snowman!  This one felt very "country-like" so I kept him rustic.   Using red/green plaid as a mat and the green starry paper I thought fit the bill.  There was a perfect cardstock sticker for my sentiment and I'm glad I snagged on to a set of rusty snowflakes a while back!  Didn't know where I would use them but worth waiting for on this card. I love the addition of my fav embellie- the BUTTON. On the inside I just kept it simple with a snowflake paper and cute Christmas lights and stamped sentiment.
I hope you like these and will get inspired to try some of my ideas.

Christmas/Winter Image from Squigglefly graces my card

Using an Ice Gold cardstock from The Paper Cut that shimmers with ice crystals & gold as the card base, I used an adorable colored image, found on Squigglefly, as the focus.  It's from the SET called Winter Wonderland, which has papers as well as a whole sheet of images and is created my SF artist, Inger Harding.  The top accents are the Memory Box die cut called Frostyville over an embossed snowflake card front out of Vista Metallic cardstock from The Paper Cut, a sheer ribbon wrapped around the double mat (see you can see the green shimmery mat of Botanic cardstock-TPC), with a antique gold colored tree charm dangling from the bow.

I can hear sleigh bells in the air! Santa's Coming Soon!!!

I have been pouring over my craft table every night this week trying to get my cards done for all our family and friends and I'm just exhausted!  I told my daughter that here I have this large table for my crafts and find that the "work space" where I assemble my cards is getting smaller and smaller as I pull supplies out from every nook and cranny.
This has GOT to be one of my favorite all time Santa cards!  Such a cute, brightly colored image!  Matted it with some gorgeous metallic cardstock from The Paper Cut called Ice Gold-makes the whole card Glow~Used as accents a vintage cardstock sticker sentiment and some Memory Box Frostyville die cuts give it such dimension. The inside features Holly paper, stamped sentiment and I added some Shaved Ice from Stampendous.  Ho~Ho~Ho

Christmas is coming to Squigglefly-show us your Christmas spirit!

The theme this week at Squigglefly is use Christmas paper, ribbon or image on your creation that show the Spirit of Christmas.  Well, for around here, lately, it would be snow and frigid weather.  Go figure, right?  Thank goodness that Cheryl Alger, one of SF's top designer's, loves Snowmen and I am using her image called "Admiring the Star", sooo cute!  I'm loving these reversible papers by BoBunny in their Woodland Winter series.  I added a few extras: Ice Stickles on the Star, a snowflake die cut from one of my Memory Box dies, and, my fav, blue buttons cause they're fun.

I'd like to add that if you use a Squigglefly image on our challenges, you will be eligible for a prize for the week!  Also, the first Saturday of each month, new artists and images are previewed for your pleasure.  It's always an exciting time for all of us and we hope you will stop by also and Catch the Magical Spirit of Christmas.

Seems a Little Sketchy is using Delicious Doodles this week!

My entry for this two-week challenge is using the Winter Woman by Delicious Doodles and this great sketch.  It makes it so handy to just grab a sketch and get your layout already set out for you!  Seems A Little Sketchy even has a library of several older ones to choose from also.  I combined this stunning winter image with some great glitter embossed snowflake paper from The Paper Studio.  I picked up this paper from my local HL and just love it!  Another embossed in silver paper is the white snowflake/swirl paper was used for the bottom section.  I had a paper lace section I used across the middle, sprayed with pearl glimmer mist and sprinkled with sugar glitter.  They have great chances to win free images every two weeks with our challenges-please come and visit the site!

I'm on a Roll with Christmas Cards!

Ya know, sometimes you just get on a roll and you can't stop?  Well that's the way it was with these Scallop Circle Swinging Z-fold cards from The Paper Cut!  I love the ease that these cards went together!  The Wild Cherry makes a great background for Santa!  Something to remember this time of year is that it's a great opportunity to pick up some fabulous embellies--these circle figures are actually mini ornaments at Wal-mart in the Christmas aisles-at 4 @ $1.00 they make a great present/card for a friend!

The next one I started on was this Reindeer and snowflake card~Kind of has this country feel to it?  This card base was Hot Fudge and I used a great golden snowflake paper that reversed to the golden stripe.  On the swinging part of the card I cut a red plaid flower circle as a background for the ornament and then added some wooden snowflakes plus some cardstock stickers.

Using an unusual color for Christmas, Sour Apple, I found some great papers and accents to bring out the Penguins' green scarf.  Then I used The Paper Cuts' cardstock called Botanic to cut out some evergreen border/sprigs with my Memory Box die.  The ornament has a Jingle Bell brad at the top!

And now my favorite image in the wintertime!  A Snowman~such a fun snowy scene complete with snowballs.  And using another reversible paper it makes the accents just the right color.  I used a white blank from The Paper Cut but it's called Cryogen White and is SO smooth and great weight! I used the Frostyville die from Memory Box to create the snowfall flurries

Metallic Christmas Card inspired by The Paper Cut

I'm going in a different direction with this Contemporary card style but I so love it!  From The Paper Cut, I'm using the Outer Stair Step Card blank in the YUMMY color of Hot Fudge.  I also used that color in cardstock for the matting of the trees. It was the Metallic cardstock called Zeus that I ran through a crimper to get the accordion looking trees.  I just randomly cut the sizes of the trees and edged the trees with Martha Stewart Brownstone fine glitter.  The Paper Studio makes a beautiful series of heavy handmade paper and I used one called Vines Glitter-Gold for the background papers on this card.  I got this series from HL.  On the little Hot Fudge sentiment mat, I stamped a great verse that I love to use at Christmas time-May God Bless Your Christmas.  And such is the wish I have for you all as we start the Magical Season!
